Position Description:
The Clinical Coding Sr. Business Analyst is responsible for analyzing the customers' business needs around new and existing functionality of the Ingenix ClaimsManager (TM) application, documenting requirements to meet the business needs and assisting with prioritization of the product backlog. Position requires project-based work across multiple cross functional teams including development, quality assurance, implementation, training and support. The position requires management of multiple and/or complex projects to ensure the commitment to project plans and product line business goals are met.
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Act as a SME for ClaimsManager by maintaining strong product and content knowledge, especially in the area of clinical coding content and rules
  • Gather and write business requirements
  • Write and review client facing documentation (when applicable)
  • Assist in the design of the features and user interface
  • Provide feedback on documentation and release notes
  • Analyze business needs around new and existing functionality of ClaimsManager, specifically in the area of clinical coding content and rules
  • Closely collaborate with the product team on an ongoing basis to guide and direct the team on new and existing product functionality
  • Meet with customers on a regular basis to understand areas in the product for improvement to increase value to the customer in areas of decreasing operating costs and increasing revenue
  • Identify and communicate existing solution features and new enhancements needs by articulating the voice of the customer and market
  • Provide support and training on product features and benefits for internal departments
  • Serve as a mentor and coach for other team members
  • Suggest process improvements focused on increasing customer satisfaction, increasing customer revenue, and/or reducing customer or internal expense

Qualifications
Qualifications:
  • 2 years of Clinical Coding experience (CPC preferred)
  • 2 years of experience writing business/system requirements for documentation and gathering customer feedback
  • 3 years proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to travel (5-10%)
Assets:
  • Claims processing experience
  • Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and Commercial insurance
  • Knowledge of ClaimsManager application or similar clinical coding applications
  • Experience or familiarity with Agile or SCRUM development process
  • Post-graduate degree in applicable area of expertise or equivalent experience
