Senior Manager, Human Resources is a key leadership position requiring extensive HR experience strong leadership skills and strategic thinking. As Senior HR Manager you will create positive business relationships to develop and implement HR Strategies that align with the company's goals and objectives. Leading a team of HR professionals, who assist in recruiting and retaining talent, create a training and development environment and promote a culture of employee engagement.

Accountabilities:

Specific areas of direct responsibilities include strategic HR planning, employee relations, talent acquisition, training and development, performance management, compensation and benefits, HR Policies and procedure administration, compliance, HR Metrics and reporting, employee engagement, leadership, and team management. Oversees all aspects of Human Resources and may perform other duties as required.

  • Drive all core HR processes and tools including payroll systems, HRIS systems, labor requirements, training needs, and strategies to reduce employee turnover and improve the employee experience.
  • Working in conjunction with the HR Director, assist with the development, implementation, and maintenance of effective business solutions to support the current and future human resources needs for the bakery (i.e. Organizational Design, Performance Management Systems, succession planning, Health & Welfare Programs, and Employee Relations).
  • Provide advice and counsel to managers and employees on employee relations matters; supporting management and with the disciplinary process and all terminations to eliminate potential liability and enhance processes. Ensure consistent administration of company policies and procedures.
  • Ensure the people-perspective is represented in business decisions so implications are understood, and the workforce is proactively managed; assessing the impact of business decisions on workforce and provides solutions to optimize opportunities and mitigate any downsides.
  • Investigate and resolve employee relations issues; including the investigation of harassment, discrimination, and other charges; manage discipline, discharge functions, and assume responsibility for the uniform and equitable application of policies across the bakery.
  • Manage all local payroll activities which include but is not limited to leadership training, system access and coordinate with Payroll center of excellence on issue resolutions, exceptions.
  • Maintain working knowledge of benefits, including health and welfare, pension; holiday and PTO pay; and salary continuation plans.
  • Perform open enrollment functions as required by Benefits center of excellence.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of outside benefits, unemployment insurance and SDI.
  • Manage site HRIS programs such as leaves of absence, terminations, and resignations utilizing Success Factors
  • Comply with COBRA, FMLA, CFRA, ADA and the Pregnancy leave acts and ensure local state & government compliance in areas such as wage and hour, EEO/AA, and ICE.
  • Ensure consistent administration of company policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties or special projects as required by the Human Resources Director.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in human resource management, Industrial Relations, Psychology, or Business Administration or a related field preferred (or advanced certificates in Human Resources Management) required.
  • SPHR Certification preferred
  • 5+years of Human Resources Manager experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) strongly preferred.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to clearly and concisely answer questions and convey information to employees and management team.
  • Experience with applications and operations of HRIS and Payroll software,
  • Effective time management skills, including ability to prioritize workload to meet key deadlines.
  • Travel Requirements: Less than 25%, North America
