The Long-Term Care Director (Nursing Home Administrator) is accountable for operational effectiveness, safety, quality and patient experience goals. The Director partners with the Holy Rosary leadership team to provide oversight within the extended care facility and works collaboratively with peers to provide safe and effective transitions for patients, as well as sharing accountability with leaders to provide extraordinary care through the five fundamentals: Safety, Quality, Patient Experience, Access, Stewardship, and uses Intermountain Operating Model (CI) to assess and continually improve operational process and practices to deliver results.

This is an exempt, full-time position in Miles City, Montana. To show our commitment to you and to assist with your transition into our organization, we may offer a sign-on and relocation bonus when applicable.

With this position, you are eligible to participate in an annual pay-for-performance opportunity ("AP4P"). This plan enables Intermountain Health to provide leaders with an additional performance compensation opportunity. The AP4P opportunities are calculated as a percentage of your base salary. Awards are paid out based on attainment of selected Intermountain Health Board-approved goals.

As the Nursing Home Administrator, you need to know how to:

  • Develop and implement business plans necessary to ensure the long-term success of the Senior Services business line.

  • Possess a thorough understanding of the healthcare environment and keep up to date on industry developments, including the Catholic healthcare ministry.

  • Understand healthcare reimbursement issues and the impact on the Senior Services business line as well as the organization as a whole.

  • Prepare capital budget (incorporating facility strategic plans, environmental modifications, workplace requirements with regard to OSHA, CMS rules and regulations) for all Senior Service Businesses including the Extended Care Unit (ECU).

  • Work closely with ECU Director of Nursing to ensure staff competency.

  • Assure adequate staffing trends as compared to industry standards and state and federal regulations.

  • Establish and implement plans to recruit and retain qualified staff.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree, required

  • Current, unencumbered Nursing Home Administrators license with the state of Montana or ability to acquire license prior to starting is required

  • Minimum of five (5) years healthcare experience, required

  • Master's Degree, preferred

  • Long term care experience, preferred

Physical Requirements:

Ongoing need for employee to see and read information, labels, assess patient needs, operate monitors, identify equipment and supplies.- and -Frequent interactions with patient care providers, patients, and visitors that require employee to verbally communicate as well as hear and understand spoken information, alarms, needs, and issues quickly and accurately, particularly during emergency situations.- and -Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy. This includes frequent computer use and typing for documenting patient care, accessing needed information, medication preparation, etc.- and -Expected to lift and utilize full range of movement to transfer patients. Will also bend to retrieve, lift, and carry supplies and equipment. Typically includes items of varying weights, up to and including heavy items.- and -Need to walk and assist with transporting/ambulating patients and obtaining and distributing supplies and equipment. This includes pushing/pulling gurneys and portable equipment, including heavy items. Often required to navigate crowded and busy rooms (full of equipment, power cords on the floor, etc).- and -May be expected to stand in a stationary position for an extended period of time.

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.

$38.02 - $67.53
