Job Description

ARES Corporation is seeking a motivated individuals to provide schedule assessments for multiple NASA programs and projects at JSC under the Strategic Business Integration Program. The Senior Scheduling Engineer will be responsible for Program Schedule Assessment and Recommendations; assessing the schedule integration process and products and provide recommendations for improvements; and providing recommendations for product improvement specifically tailored for the Orion program schedule.

The Senior Scheduling Engineer will develop, maintain, and coordinate technical schedules for large to medium scale projects across JSC programs and projects. They conduct schedule analysis and assessments to ensure schedules are structured properly with complete network logic, are capable of reporting critical path(s), and follow industry scheduling best practices. Tracks schedule progress and develops custom reports for the customers. Provides guidance and recommendations on schedule workarounds and recovery plans for customers to make effective decisions.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Project
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate with a wide range of individuals and target clear and concise message to the appropriate audience.
  • Ability to resolves problems, interprets policies, and demonstrates solid knowledge of contract requirements, processes, and procedures to support both technical and administrative contract operation.
  • Experience working in environment with the need communicate complex concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Attention to detail, initiative, and the ability to perform in a fast paced and dynamic environment is required.
  • Proficient in Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint and able to easily adapt to new toolsets.

Education and Relevant Work Experience:

A BS/BA degree with 15 years or more experience.
