- Serve as primary point of contact for all US Direct Tax activities for DiaSorin Group North America to both internal stakeholders and external consultants

- Support local leadership and external consultants in the preparation and timely filing of accurate Federal, State and Local income tax returns
|
- Calculate and prepare tax related accounting entries
|
- Prepare quarterly estimated federal and state income tax payments
|
- Help facilitate and directly assist in the annual tax provision and related journal entries
|
- Assist in the facilitation of federal, state, and local tax audits, to include the preparation of support, working schedules and responses, as required
|
- Provide Direct Tax support to Finance function with various internal and external audits
|
- Maintain effective control procedures over all aspects of the tax process
|
- Advise the Tax Director and finance management on opportunities for process improvement, tax risk mitigation, and strategic tax planning for Federal, State and Local taxes
|
- Monitor legislative and regulatory tax law developments, communicate the effects of these developments to management and create strategies to capitalize on changes to taxation legislation
|
- Research various tax topics and law changes as needed
|
- Work closely with broader Tax and Finance Organizations, locally and globally as required
|
- Special projects and other tasks as assigned
Education, Experience, and Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, CPA preferred
|
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in Corporate Federal and State Tax
|
- Extensive Corporate tax knowledge; with multi-state income tax experience ranging from compliance to state apportionment
|
- Experience supporting Federal and State Tax Audits
|
- Strong knowledge in accounting for income tax ASC 740
|
- Strong analytical, and research skills
|
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
|
- Proven knowledge of tax code, compliance and procedures for corporations
|
- Familiarity with U.S. federal, state and local reporting requirements
|
- Proven experience with a variety of tax operations and ability to drive process improvements
|
- Strong ability to utilize project management and accounting best practices to organize and prioritize tasks
|
- Ability to work well independently as well as the ability to work well with stakeholders and communicate the benefits of tax initiative
|
- Experience with SAP or Oracle Preferred
- Experience working with multi-national corporations Preferred
Working Conditions
- May need to work beyond 40 hours/week as needed in order to meet tax related deadlines

- Sitting at a desk for extended periods of time

- Intermittent Domestic and International Travel
|
- Hybrid schedule ranging from 3 to 5 days a week in office
