- Maintenance, repair, service and inspection of the underground mining equipment
- Able to diagnose Mechanical, Hydraulic and electrical systems
- Adjust, repair or replace all defective equipment parts, components or systems serviced at customer sites
- Test the repaired equipment for proper performance
- Equivalent to complete accredited apprenticeship in a recognized trade, craft or occupation; or equivalent to a one-year technical college education.
- Experience with reading and understanding schematics, and general troubleshooting of low-voltage control systems
- Knowledge of how to align couples on motors, transfer cases, and gearboxes
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar job experience an asset
- Equivalent to complete accredited apprenticeship in a recognized trade, craft or occupation; or equivalent to a one-year technical college education.
- Underground experience required.
